Trond created this composition in the process of the passing of his mother Randi Nordli. What began as studio therapy in the face of loss has transformed into a powerful sonic offering. This day, on what would have been Randi’s 80th birthday, Radical Devotion releases "Satyam Shivam Sundaram."
The ancient Sanskrit mantra for Truth, Bliss or pure consciousness, and Beauty, this single is a bridge between the physical and the eternal.
It is a meditation on the love that remains when everything else falls away.
In the context of the mantra Satyam Shivam Sundaram,
Shiva (Shivam) represents the auspicious, the benevolent, and the pure consciousness that remains steady amidst change.
Shiva is often seen as the "transformer" or "destroyer" not of life itself, but of ignorance, ego, and grief, clearing the path for new beginnings and spiritual growth.
